The WNBA Commissioner’s Cup presented by Coinbase begins this weekend. With five games held at the WNBA Tip-Off presented by CarMax from May 6-8. The 61-game tournament is the second annual in-season competition. The Championship Game will play at the team’s home stadium with the highest winning percentage. After last year’s game have conducted at a neutral site, it participated in the Commissioner’s Cup for the first time. The Championship Game will once again have aired on Prime Video. It will see players competing for half a million dollars prize fund. This year’s Commissioner’s Cup, sponsored by Coinbase, will debut a new platform on which the league will compete. In addition, WNBA teams and the WNBPA will collaborate in the run-up to the 2022 midterm elections. Its purpose is to further the players’ work by empowering communities via voter registration, voting rights education, and advocacy.

The WNBA family will conduct a series of activations and programs. And will encourage active involvement in the civic process. It includes voter education, registration, and long-term engagement, led by the combined WNBA/WNBPA Social Justice Council.
