Mohamed Salah Wants to Challenge Real Madrid in the Champions League Final
Despite getting to the Champions League final, Mohamed Salah revealed that he wants to face Real Madrid again after losing them in the 2018 UCL final. With a tumultuous victory against Villarreal, Liverpool secured their spot in the final for the third time in five seasons. They will meet either Manchester City or Real Madrid in Paris at the end of the month.
In the game of the third minute, Boulaye Dia gave the hosts the lead, but Francis Coquelin tied the score. On aggregate, shortly before half-time, Liverpool looks sluggish and out of sorts.
However, the situation altered in the second quarter, when they regained control of the game and took the lead around the hour mark. Due to Fabinho’s goal, before Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane put the game out of reach.
Liverpool will now face either City or Real Madrid on May 28, with Pep Guardiola’s side taking a 4-3 aggregate lead to the Bernabeu on Wednesday after a thrilling first leg last week.

Typically, players are cautious about the side they want to face in the final. On the other hand, Mohamed Salah did not hesitate to share his thoughts when questioned, and he was keen to exact retribution on Real Madrid.
“If you ask me, I would rather be in Madrid.” We lost in the final against them previously. So I’m excited to face them again and maybe win.”
Mohamed Salah set up Fabinho for Liverpool’s first goal in Villarreal. He was bringing his season total to 30 goals and 15 assists in all competitions for the Reds.
The Egyptian joked that he may have to become more selfish in the season. Remaining weeks since he is still short of the pre-season goal he set for himself.
