Mr. Romy Gai appoints FIFA’s Chief Business Officer
Mr. Romy Gai has been named FIFA‘s Chief Business Officer, succeeding Mr. Kay Madati, who will step down as Chief Commercial Officer in the coming months for personal reasons. Further, Mr. Romy Gai joins FIFA as Chairman of AWE International Group, which he has led since 2015. He spent 14 years as Chief Revenue Officer, Marketing Director, and CEO Assistant at Juventus FC in Italy, as well as a period as CEO of the UAE Football League (UFL) in the UAE.
“Mr. Romy Gai’s appointment as Chief Business Officer will enhance FIFA’s commitment to our commercial and marketing partners,” FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura stated. “He has spent his whole life associated with football. And grateful to have his insight to assist develop our global business operations.”
However, Mr. Romy Gai’s appointment follows Mr. Madati’s resignation, with the current Chief Commercial Officer. Remaining on until the end of June 2022 to help the commercial division transition.

Provides football to achieve our FIFA Vision 2020-2023 goal of making the game truly worldwide.” The introduction of FIFA is a tribute to his efforts as well as the efforts of the team Romy takes over as part of FIFA’s Commercial division.”
