Ramon Fernandez, Philippine Sports Commissioner and 31st Southeast Asian Games Chef de Mission, paid H.E. Ambassador Meynardo Montealegre a courtesy call at the Philippine Embassy in Vietnam on Monday, May 2, the first full day following Team Philippines’ arrival in Hanoi late Sunday night.

However, Ambassador Montealegre met the PSC Commissioner, who reviewed Team Philippines’ participation in the Southeast Asian Games, which would be held in Vietnam.
“We are thrilled and appreciative of your support to Colleagues Philippines,” Fernandez said, thanking the Ambassador for meeting him and his team. Ambassador Montealegre reassured CDM Fernandez that they were ready to assist in any way and reminded him that Team Philippines has a base in Hanoi.

According to Ambassador Montealegre, Filipinos is highly active from as far away as Ho Chi Minh City. And Danang have been enquiring about tickets to watch and support the team during their matches.
