Kai Sotto

Kai Sotto will resume his national team duties after his last appearance in the Olympic Qualifying competition last year in Belgrade, Serbia.

The player, 7-foot-3, wonders the schedule to land in the nation from Australia on August 18, just in time for the Gilas’ pregame warmup against Asia Cup 2022 silver medalist Lebanon in Beirut on August 26, before facing Saudi Arabia on August 29 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

But because Sotto recently re-signed with the Adelaide 36ers, he won’t be eligible for the fifth and sixth windows in November and February because he will compete in the Australia NBL.

Dwight Ramos, Ray Parks Jr., Kevin Quiambao, Kiefer, Thirdy Ravena, Carl Tamayo, Francis Lopez, and other players from the 10 PBA teams that aren’t participating in the Philippine Cup finals will also be included in the pool, along with Kai Sotto for the Philippines.

Jordan Clarkson
