WPIAL sports: Tuesday is likely to be a wonderful day to use your imagination in Western Pennsylvania. So get ready to make a lot of noise when eastern rivals meet. Trinity had a No. 12 seed, and the Hillers and Lions would have faced in the Elite Eight if it had defeated No. 5 Hampton. WPIAL sports: Sectionals for Tennis doubles
The WPIAL boys tennis playoff program begins Tuesday with the opening of doubles sectionals. The qualifiers for the 2022 WPIAL boys doubles tennis championships. It will be determined by a two-day competition in each of the four Class 3A and 2A regions next week. Also, no more than two players from each school are allowed to compete in the sectionals.
Tuesday will host the first round, quarterfinals, and semifinals, with the championship and consolation bouts taking place on Wednesday. Each section’s top four players will progress to the district championships.
